![]() ![]() ![]() I had two installation files on my computer, so I assumed the newest one was what I used. To be honest I'm not totally sure it was 3.0.0 I used before this. I haven't tried to do anything with the program yet, but at least it opens. Well, the first trick, renaming what I think is a backup back to library.db didn't work. The pre-3.4.1.0 one should be the one I used with 3.0.0, right? I'll try renaming that to just library.db and we'll see what happens. Is what you say true even when I now try to use 3.0.0? The db has become corrupted somehow? I didn't see any warning though, but of course I can have missed it. The darktable forum on might be a good place to look for further information/help. Sorry, but I use linux and can't tell you where dt stores the database in windows, so can't help you further. IIRC there is a warning to this effect when you upgrade. If you didn't back up the 3.0.0 database before installing a later version (and thereby upgrading the database automatically during the installation) then, as I understand it, there's no going back without deleting the database and starting again. But it doesn't show up in the archive either.Ī complete guess: the dt database format has been updated at least once (probably more times) since 3.0.0 and is not backwards compatible. I would expect to get it back to my inbox, but that may differ. ![]() I've signed up for darktable's mailing list and tried to ask there. It removed everything from the program directory. I ran the Uninstall.exe belonging to darktable. Doesn't help.Īny idea what can cause this? Some hidden files that need to be deleted? Anything? I'm used to darktable now and want to continue to use it. I've tried to uninstall and install again, rebooted, set it to run as admin. No trace of any process running in task manager. It won't run! The terminal window just flickers and immediately closes. Just checking: by "maunally uninstalled", you mean that you used the normal Windows uninstall capability?Īnd then installed the version I previously had, 3.0.0. Hence I manually uninstalled the new version It ran fine, but I found it confusing and decided to go back to the previous version. I decided to upgrade to the latest version and chose the option to uninstall the old version during setup. I've used darktable since a few versions back without problems. ![]()
